Nicole brings a warmth and caring nature to all her sessions. She actually inspired her Husband Ben to give crossFit a go, when he used to refer to it as CrossShit. Nicole has been practicing CrossFit, since 2012 and coaching since 2014. She graduated from University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Science, Health Promotion degree.

Nicole has a passion for helping people with their nutrition and mindset. Seeking small sustainable changes that lead to lasting benefits. Outside of CrossFit she is equal parts homebody and social butterfly. She loves to accidentally buy stuff on Facebook, be an average gardener, spend time with her son and Great Dane and find new ways to PLAY! Whether that’s running the trails or attempting a handstand somewhere. OH and big chats! Loves a chat.

Coach Ben

Ben is the Co- Owner of CFMR, with his Wife Nicole. He graduated with a Physical Education and Health degree at Wollongong University, in 2000. He has been coaching crossFit since 2013 and loves seeing his athletes improve, and also have a laugh during his sessions.

He is a mental health advocate and has a passion for helping people achieve better mental fitness. In his spare time he loves surfing and mastering the didgeridoo. More recently becoming a Dad to son, Alby. Ben aspires to be someone doing things in the health and wellness space, that his son would be stoked about. Ben believes the mindset you approach the gym with, is as important as the workout itself. Be a friend to yourself - coaching mindfulness is a great way to help people see that too.

Coach Monique

Monique grew up in Perth, WA, and started her fitness journey from the age of 16 with Les Mills Pump, Step and Body Attack classes. In 2016 a new challenge was needed. Crossfit Margaret River had recently opened their doors and Monique attended an introduction session at the box.

She was instantly hooked. Her passion in the industry grew and became a Certified CF coach in 2017, also completing courses in ZUU and Animal Flow. Always striving for perfect technique, Monique’s main drive is the Olympic Lifts.

Lindsay is originally from Derby, UK and has been training and involved with the CFMR community since 2015. After moving from England and being in the real estate industry she found her passion in health and fitness which gave her the urge to want to help others enjoy their health and fitness journey too.  Lindsay specialises in personal coaching and nutrition coaching.

In her spare time it sounds cliché but she loves to train at Crossfit with her husband, its her happy place. She enjoys running, swimming and hiking the gorgeous cape to cape in the beautiful Margaret River region. 


Coach Jenise

After years of yoga practice, Jenise became certified in hatha and vinyasa yoga in beautiful Bali in 2018. Since then she has delved into different styles of yoga such as prenatal & postnatal, mums and bubs and even SUP yoga.

A mum of 2 little ones, she is thrilled to call Margaret River home after a decade of travel. At CFMR Jenise will be teaching a yin-style class to calm and ground your body and mind after the stresses we go through on a daily and weekly basis. She looks forward to holding a safe nurturing space for you.

Coach Dan

Level 1 CrossFit Coach

Qualified Remedial Massage Therapist

Expert in helping you getting more mobile


Dan is originally from Nottingham, UK where he enjoyed running, martial arts and soccer. After emigrating to Margaret River in 2012 and after 18 years of plumbing Dan found a new passion in Crossfit. This led him to concentrate on the biomechanics of the body and was intrigued to learn more, he then studied Remedial massage in Perth and has been loving it ever since. Dan specialises in remedial massage, sports massage and helping improve range of motion.  

In his spare time he enjoys relaxing at the beach with a good book, running, hiking with his wife and recently enjoying understanding of mindfulness.

Coach Matt

Level 1 CrossFit Coach

Personal Trainer

Expert with athletes over 35

Matt is one of our casual CrossFit coaches. He has a double life as a FIFO electrician. Matt grew up on the east coast moving to the west 19 years ago. His entire life has revolved around sports, ocean sports especially. He found CrossFit compliments all of his passions and gives it longevity. His free time is spent in or around the surf chasing the next wave or feast.

Matt brings a passion to his coaching, that is not driven by a pay check. In his own time he travelled to Perth passed his Level 1 in CrossFit and loves to work with older Athletes (35 years or older). Helping them keep moving safely and with purpose well into their later years of life. Age is just a number and Coach Matt is there to remind you of that, with kindness and care.

Coach Ian

Ian is a mindfulness and meditation trainer practitioner with 15years experience in a secular non-religious Buddhist network. Ian facilitates group mindfulness and meditation training along with developing training approaches suited to the specific needs of those he works in partnership with.

Ian developed the Mindfulness of Day (MOD’s) curriculum, partnering with CrossFit Margaret River to create a scaffold suited to the needs of the CFMR community.

The MODS program has been consistently delivered on Mondays at the gym, since 2019.
