Ian Hackett – Director and teacher at Tig-Le House Margaret River

Ian is a mindfulness and meditation trainer practitioner with 15 years’ experience in a secular non-religious Buddhist network. Ian facilitates group mindfulness and meditation training along with developing training approaches suited to the specific needs of those he works in partnership with.

Ian developed the Mindfulness of Day (MOD’s) curriculum, partnering with CrossFit Margaret River (CFMR) to create a scaffold suited to the needs of the CFMR community.

“Mindfulness is essentially a ‘whole of health’ approach for individuals, families, communities, and workplace environs to establish and maintain a calm, friendly, healthy interest and engagement, along with the purposeful development of helpful responses to the physical, emotional, and mental challenges of modern daily living.” – Ian H.

The MOD program provides a real benefit for those who attend and is well aligned with the intentions and character of the long-established historical approaches of secular mindfulness as taught through Tig-Le House. There is also a real benefit in working with local people and businesses that are interested in supporting the health of others and community.
